Our Road to Rio: 2016 Olympic Games

3rd After Day 1 Miami World Cup

Great start to the Miami World Cup this week with a 2-5-4 to end the day in third overall. The 49er fleet had the afternoon start today and missed the best breeze this morning, 14-16mph. Instead, we sailed in an 8-12mph fading Easterly with large lulls and some shifts. Not quite the conditions Zach and I are hoping for, but looks like moderate conditions for us until a cold front moves through on Friday.

Tomorrow we have a 1pm start and should have similar conditions to today. We are looking to clean up our starts a little more and work on sailing fast and clean. Check out our home page for updates all week!

Zach and I would like to thank US Sailing, Hedgeye, and our family and friends for their continued support.

Well done! I was so glad to meet and sail with you both in Miami. I look forward to following your progress toward Rio!
